Maureen moved to San Diego from Bozeman, Montana in December 2021 to join API as Chief Executive Officer bringing over 20 years’ experience in executiveleadership roles with large for-profit and not-for-profit regional behavioral hospitals and health system, community behavioral health, and healthcare marketing.
Maureen has spent her career in behavioral health leading large for-profit and not-for-profit behavioral health systems. Additionally, Maureen has also stood up three free-standing behavioral health acute hospitals.
Maureen has consulted for many behavioral health organizations in risk management, change management, and value propositions. Womack is a frequently requested speaker at National Conferences and as a participant on national task forces.
A visionary leader, Maureen has expertise in assessing operations, developing multi-faceted strategic plans, and building teams to reach goals within a healthcare system that is patient-centered, data driven, integrated, and focused on early intervention and health.
Womack’s educational background includes a master’s degree in psychology and dual bachelor’s degrees in psychology and sociology from the University of South Alabama.
Maureen enjoys painting, reading, sailing, and spending time with her husband, Don and son, Patrick.
