Celebrating
NATIONAL
DOCTORS' DAY
MARCH 30
This year's theme, "Honoring the Calling" recognizes the profound commitment of doctors to their profession and communities. It also underscores the importance of caring for physicians' well-being and preserving the human connection in medicine as technology continues to evolve.
National Doctors' Day is an opportunity to uplift the healers who tirelessly care for us!
Whether through heartfelt messages, meaningful gestures, or resources that address burnout, mental health, and financial well-being, let's celebrate and support the physicians who give so much.
"The good physician treats the disease; the great physician treats the patient who has the disease."

Physician Recruitment

Physician Opportunities in San Diego

Alvarado Parkway Institute is proud of the behavioral health medical community who choose our hospital as the place to provide care and treatment for patients. We recognize that like our patients, physicians have choices in where they practice. The physicians who call API home are widely recognized for their skill and expertise in the delivery of outstanding psychiatric and addictive disorders treatment.

API welcomes the addition of new medical staff whose values and philosophy of care aligns with our mission, vision, and values and our Culture of Caring. We encourage new physicians who are interested in joining our team to contact hospital Administration for a tour and an opportunity to meet with the hospital’s Medical Director and Executive Leadership Team.

There are a variety of practice opportunities throughout our care continuum. If your specialty is in inpatient acute care, we have three distinct units offering services to severe and persistently mentally ill adults, persons suffering from addictive disorders, and persons who are medically and psychiatrically compromised. Our skilled and compassionate multi-disciplinary treatment team comprised of nursing staff, psychology staff, social services, addictive disorders, and adjunctive therapists work to collaborate with you as the physician leader to direct the treatment provided in an inpatient setting.

If you prefer the challenges provided in a hospital based outpatient treatment setting, API has three high volume treatment programs. Programs are located in El Cajon, the San Diego City Heights area, and on the main campus in La Mesa. Outpatient care is designed to occur over time, promoting long term stability and an improved quality of life. The accomplishment of personal and professional goals is paramount to successful outcomes. The Medical staff is the driving force in developing and coordinating a successful, client focused plan of care in the outpatient settings.

We are a growing and thriving organization with a desire to partner with physicians who share our passion and commitment to the mental health community. Join our team of outstanding medical professionals.

Please contact our medical staff office at 619-667-6003 to inquire about privileges and how to become a member of API’s medical staff.
