Psychological and Addictive Disorders Services Practicums and Internships
The Psychology and Addictive Disorders Department serves our inpatient and outpatient programs. We offer full-time APA accredited predoctoral psychology internships, full-time postdoctoral psychology fellowships, and part-time practicum placements for master’s prepared psychology trainees, pre-master’s counseling trainees, and pre-master’s MFT trainees. Our supervisors include licensed psychologists, LPCCs, and LMFTs.
Interns and trainees gain valuable experience in:
- Inpatient and Outpatient behavioral health and substance use treatment
- Group Therapy/Psycho-education Group Facilitation
- Short Term and Long Term Individual Psychotherapy
- Crisis Intervention and Risk Assessment
- Psychological Assessment and Report Writing
- Case Conceptualization
- Safety Planning
- Leadership Skills/Multi-disciplinary Team Participation
- Presentations and Public Speaking
- Didactic Training

Social Services Internships
Our Social Services Department serves our inpatient population and facilitates psychosocial assessments, discharge planning, and connects patients to community resources and continuing care activities. Our social workers work closely with our psychiatrists and nursing staff and are integral members of the inpatient treatment team.
