Center for Addictive Disorders
We have designed an Addiction Disorders program that helps clients struggling with chemical dependency issues get sober and stay sober. Through working with our team of dedicated physicians, clinicians, and allied health professionals, clients are empowered to achieve safe detoxification, develop healthy coping skills to avoid relapse, and improve their quality of life for successful community reintegration. Our Center for Addictive Disorders offers Detoxification, family therapy, individual psychotherapy, intensive group therapy, next-level treatment and aftercare planning services. Hospital-approved medication protocols are utilized to ensure safe detoxification. Every effort is made to make the detoxification process as comfortable as possible.
When you’re suffering from an addictive disorder, it can be difficult to recognize that recovery is possible – especially if you’ve already tried to get sober on your own. Most addictive disorders are rooted in difficulties surrounding mental illness and the desire to self-medicate. Our years of experience in treating mental illness and co-occurring disorders provides our clients the level of support needed to not only stabilize, but to also explore, identify, understand, and treat the root cause of the addiction.
Our Center for Addictive Disorders treats both the physical dependence on alcohol or drugs as well as the more complex emotional and behavioral issues that fuel the cycle of addiction. Following an initial assessment, our medical staff will determine the appropriate level of care depending on the severity of symptoms.

Center for Mental Health
The term Mental Illness covers a broad spectrum of psychiatric disorders which impact a person’s behavior, feelings, perceptions of reality, and mood. Having a mental illness can impact the way in which people relate to one another or how a person manages day-to-day activities such as work, school, and family responsibilities. Help is available to people to overcome the symptoms associated with a psychiatric disorder. Alvarado Parkway Institute’s Center for Mental Health provides the resources, tools, and treatment needed for people to take an active role in their recovery.
Our team of dedicated professionals works to educate clients, family members, and others in the community about coping with a loved one who has mental illness. Our Center for Mental Health program, led by a team of Psychiatrists, Psychologists, and professional clinicians create personalized treatment plans for clients with illnesses such as bipolar disorder, depression, anxiety, and psychosis. We help identify common signs and symptoms of various disorders as well as what behaviors to expect from those living with mental illness. We know that stigma regarding mental illness exists. We work to break down the stigma associated with having a mental illness through education, support, and finding a solution. Understanding psychiatric disorders as well as what treatments are available are key ingredients in developing an action plan for the future. At Alvarado Parkway Institute’s Center for Mental Health, we know that wellness is possible.
