Executive Director, Business Development
Renee Novo is a Business Development, Communications, Marketing and Media Strategist with over 20 years of industry experience successfully implementing strategic initiatives which humanize, improve and grow organizations.
Renee attended University of North Texas (UNT) in Denton Tx. and earned her Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a minor in Marketing. A natural strategist and storyteller, she leads our work to continuously explore and understand the needs of the Behavioral Health community. In her role, Renee’s charged with informing the development of innovative approaches to better meet the needs of our community while supporting our ability to inform and grow the number of clients we serve.
A native of Dallas Texas, Renee moved to San Diego after a decade as an entrepreneur, owning and operating a Dallas-based marketing and consulting firm, which specialized in the information technology industry working with corporate clients such as Oracle, IBM and TXU (Texas Utilities). Prior to owning her own business, she held several leadership and senior executive level positions with for-profit companies leading branding, marketing and corporate strategic initiatives. Prior to joining Alvarado Parkway Institute, she served as Vice President of Community Engagement and Programs at the Jacobs Center for Neighborhood Innovation.
Renee enjoys a good book, music, great food and travel. She resides in San Diego with her husband Joseph. They have an adult daughter and have been rescued by Bernie, a 4year old Terrier mix.
