Celebrating
NATIONAL
DOCTORS' DAY
MARCH 30
This year's theme, "Honoring the Calling" recognizes the profound commitment of doctors to their profession and communities. It also underscores the importance of caring for physicians' well-being and preserving the human connection in medicine as technology continues to evolve.
National Doctors' Day is an opportunity to uplift the healers who tirelessly care for us!
Whether through heartfelt messages, meaningful gestures, or resources that address burnout, mental health, and financial well-being, let's celebrate and support the physicians who give so much.
"The good physician treats the disease; the great physician treats the patient who has the disease."

Julie Pfizenmeier

People Advocate

Director of Human Resources

Born into a military family that moved frequently, Julie had the opportunity early in life to live all across the country but loved her time in Charleston, SC.  However, the family eventually settled in San Diego.  Unsure of her career path, she spent many years in banking as a Branch Manager. It was during that time Julie discovered that she had a passion for helping people which lead her to the field of Human Resources.

Attending college later in her career, Julie has fond memories of sitting at the kitchen table with her children as they all did homework. She received her undergraduate degree in Business Management and completed her Master’s Degree in Business Administration and Human Resources Management at the University of Phoenix.

She has worked in a number of fields as a Human Resources professional prior to joining API in 2015 including, Insurance, Law, mortgage banking, health care devices, education, and manufacturing.  Julie enjoys working with employees and supporting their ability to make a difference in the lives of their clients. Julie lives in Serra Mesa with her husband, David.  They have two adult children;  Cameron who lives in Texas with his beautiful wife Jaime,  and daughter Carly Ann who lives in Lakeside with her awesome husband Michael.  Recently Julie became a grandmother for the first time to beautiful Wes Michael (thank you Carly and Michael). Julie enjoys camping, being outdoors, sports, and most of all – being with family and friends.
